Who Are we Looking For?

We are seeking dedicated and courageous individuals who are team-oriented, physically capable, and possess a strong desire to serve their community in emergency situations.

Interior Firefighters (18+)

Trained to enter burning buildings and extinguish fires. Requires passing a physical and completing NY State fire training for safe and effective performance.

Provides rapid response to fire emergencies and extinguishes flames.

Exterior Firefighter (18+)

Supports interior crews. Performs nearly all other firefighting duties and is equally vital to operations.

Also requires passing physical and fire training classes.

Cadets (17-18)

Students looking to enter the fire service while building skills and knowledge. Cannot enter active fires and must abide by certain restrictions on tasks.

Attend all training sessions and provide support at community events.

Explorers Program (14-18)

Teaches the skills, discipline and teamwork needed for a future in the service. Helps meet community service requirements.

Engagement in local events and outreach activities.
